PFsense Router Review - Problems With the PFsense Home Hardware Factory

The PFsense home hardware factory is a top rated online retailer. I recently bought one of their routers, but found that the manufacture in the UK wasn't what I expected.

After a couple of days of researching the site, I started to notice the difference in quality between what the PFsense factory told me and what I was seeing. By going through this process, I was able to find out that the hardware they were selling was poor quality, and I would recommend anyone to stay away from it. Here are some of the problems I found:

- The website was very dodgy in that they provided me with information about their router, but not about the firmware. This was a big issue for me, because it meant that I had no idea how my hardware was running until I actually plugged it into a computer and tried to update it.

- The customer support was limited. They didn't know much about what was wrong or how to fix it, and the technical knowledge about what the router should do was lacking too.

- When it came to the replacement of the old hardware, they sold me a "good enough" board that was to be replaced with a more expensive one that wasn't even made by them. I was taken back by the fact that they actually sell you junk and then attempt to blame it on you when you've already done the damage yourself.

- I really wanted a decent router and didn't think that this was it. When I went to do some research, I found that the router I got was one of the least reliable ones, and they weren't even the best sellers there.

So all in all, the websites were dodgy, the support service was pretty bad, and the product itself was cheap, but I did find a good router, which I think is worth the price. The manufacturer I chose was another top-rated site that's been around for many years and had helped me with my own router before.
